Description

Castle Cottage is a cottage located in a row on the west side of Market Place, dating from the 18th century and modified in the 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone with a Ham stone eaves course and features a Welsh slate roof with a plain southwest gable, which abuts a southeast brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and two bays, with a plinth, band, and eaves courses. It includes 12-pane sash windows that are set under thin stone lintels. The lower bay features a 20th-century door with a plain fanlight in a segmental arched opening, which has a deep dovetailed false keystoned lintel. The interior has not been seen.
