Description

BABCARY CP CHURCH STREET (West side) ST52NE 3/9 Parsons monument in Churchyard, about 5 m east south-east of - porch, Church of the Holy Cross GV II Chest tomb. Probably early C17. Doulting stone. Crude, heavy moulded base on step; plain slab flanks and ends: deep cyma recta coving to flat top. Commemorates members of Parsons family - flank inscriptions badly weathered but there is an east end inscription to John Parsons, died 1817.
