Description
The Taylor-Parsons tomb is a chest tomb dating from the 18th century, located 6 metres southeast of the southeast corner of the south porch of the Church of St Mary in Marston Magna. It is made of Ham stone with panels of Keinton stone. The tomb has an oblong shape, featuring two panels on each side and one at each end. It has a moulded base, with the panels framed by pilasters, and a moulded and hipped top. The tomb commemorates the Taylor and Parsons families, with inscriptions noting deaths in 1745 and 1779, although these inscriptions are now much worn.
