Description
The Rectory is a building from the 18th century that has been modified and is now divided into separate units. It is constructed from local stone in a random coursed pattern, with Ham stone lintels. The roof is covered with plain clay tiles over three base courses of stone slates, and there are rendered brick chimney stacks. The building is two stories high and has six bays.
The first bay features French doors with margined panes, while the second bay has twelve-pane sash windows on both levels. The remaining bays have plain three-light casement windows with rectangular leaded panes. There is a stone, timbered, and tiled porch from the early 20th century at bay three, and bay five includes a narrow glazed door and a single-light casement window.
The Rectory is primarily included in the listing for its group value and its historical significance to the Church of St Mary located opposite.
