Description
Ashe House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed local stone and features a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks at the west end. The building is single-storey with an attic and has four bays of irregular window arrangement, plus an additional window on the ground floor to the right. The entrance, originally located in the fourth bay, has been moved to the rear. The windows include 2- and 3-light casements with rectangular leaded lights on the ground floor. There is a band course beneath the cills of the upper windows, which are set into thatched dormers. A lean-to is present at the rear. The house is primarily noted for its group value in relation to the nearby Church of St Mary.
