Description
Garston Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with modifications from the 19th century. It is constructed from locally sourced stone that is cut and squared, laid in random courses, and features a double Roman clay tile roof with a coped gable and finial at the west end. The building has two storeys and five bays, with a 20th-century stone porch that has a plain clay tiled roof over bay three, and a plain boarded door in bay five. The windows are casements, with two lights in bay one and three lights in the other bays, showing traces of ovolo moulded frames at the heads of the first-floor windows. The upper part of the west gable is made of brick, and there is an outshut at the rear. The interior has not been seen. The farmhouse is primarily noted for its group value within a very interesting and varied village street.
