Description
Kingsland House, formerly known as Studley's Farmhouse, is a 17th-century house located on Rimpton Road in Marston Magna. The building is constructed from local stone, featuring squared and random coursed sections, with Ham stone dressings. It has a thatched roof topped with a brick end chimney stack. The house is single-storey with an attic and has an irregular arrangement of windows.
The off-centre doorway has a cambered arch and moulded jambs. To the left of the door is a 4-light hollow chamfered mullioned window with a label, while to the right is a 3-light mullioned window with a wrought iron casement stay, which is set into a thatched dormer. The west gable wall features mullioned labelled windows on both levels. At the rear, there is a long extension that is likely from the early 20th century but maintains the character of the original building.
