Description
No 2 Church Walk is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is built of local stone that is roughly squared and random coursed, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is made of plain clay tiles and connects to the roof of No 1 Church Walk, featuring a coped west gable. The house is two stories high and has two bays. The entrance is on the left, accessed through a former two-light window that has been replaced by a 19th-century door. To the right, there is a four-light ovolo moulded mullioned window beneath a label or string course that is shared with the doorway. Above this window, on the right, is a three-light mullioned window without a label, and on the left, there is a timber casement window that is probably from the 18th century, featuring rectangular leaded panes. There are additional mullioned windows located at the rear. This house is part of a range known collectively as the Old Rectory.
