Gateway and walling. 1923/24, by Sir Guy Dawber. Local stone rubble with ashlar (possibly reconstructed stone), wrought iron gates. Piers about 500mm square and 3 metres tall with moulded flat caps, carrying fine pair wrought iron gates in free style with some repousse work; flanking walls curve round to piers with acorn finials; considerable length of wall Westwards, stepped up the hill, with matching piers; all part of original design of the setting of Stowell Hill House (qv).
