Description
The Bird House, located 30 metres south west of Charcroft Farmhouse, is a bird house built around 1900. It features a timber frame and weatherboarding, resting on a front stone retaining wall and supported by four staddle stones. The roof is a hipped plain clay tile. Notably, the upper half of the structure is cantilevered on the south east side over a duck pond, which includes a small door with a duck ladder leading into the pond. The design of the Bird House is intended to match and complement the nearby Granary, creating a picturesque grouping with it and Charcroft Farmhouse.
