Description
Nashdom is a cottage, formerly two separate cottages, now serving as the village Post Office. It dates from the late 18th century and is built of local stone rubble that has been colourwashed, with ashlar dressings. The roof is covered with single Roman clay pantiles and features stepped coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays. The wide sash windows have plain beaded surrounds, with double narrow sashes in the centre bay. There is a boarded doorway located between the first and second bays, which is protected by a 20th-century lean-to porch; the other doorway has been blocked. At the rear, there is an outshut that may be contemporary with the main structure. The interior has been altered but remains plain.
