Description

The former granary to Vagg Farm, located 20 metres east of The White House, is a granary that likely dates from the late 18th century. It features a timber frame with creosoted timber weatherboarding and a pyramidal roof covered with Welsh slates, which has been treated with Turnerisation. The roof is supported by two bottom courses of stone slates, with stone hips and a finial, and it includes an iron windvane. The building is square in shape and raised on brick staddles topped with stone caps, arranged in three rows of four. There are doorways on the east and west sides, although only the west doorway is currently in use, accessed by four stone steps. Above this doorway, there is a simple fanlight. The granary measures approximately 5 metres in depth and width.
