Description
Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with later additions. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with coped gables and stone slab end chimney stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys high with an attic, displaying five bays on the south elevation, which is oriented at right angles to the road. The exterior includes a plinth, a band course, and rusticated quoins. The windows are plain beaded mullioned types set within simple architraves, all of which are two-light except for the lower bays four and five, which share a three-light window. The windows have rectangular leaded panes and iron-framed opening lights.
In the lower bay three, there is an early 19th-century six-panelled door set in an architrave, topped by a moulded stone hood supported by console brackets. The west gable features a higher single-storey extension that matches the main structure but has no windows on the south side. The east gable has another extension that shows signs of having been heightened, with a plain clay tiled roof over stone slate base courses. Above this roof, there is a 19th-century sash-pane casement in the east attic gable. The rear extension has 19th-century casement windows, which may be part of the original fabric. The interior has not been seen.
