Description
This is an outbuilding, possibly once a small mill, located about 5 metres north of Walters Farmhouse on Queen Street. It likely dates from the 18th century and is constructed of coursed ham stone rubble with a double Roman clay tile roof featuring plain gables. The building has an 'L' plan and stands two storeys high.
The west elevation facing the street has a gable on the left side, which includes two mezzanine level boarded doors and two upper casement windows. To the right, in the return wing, there is a small loft door positioned under the eaves. The south gable end features a wide boarded door at ground level. On the north side of the building, there is a well or spring, along with a lean-to extension that has a small barred window on the west end overlooking the water source. The interior has not been seen.
