Description
The outbuilding to the north of the Old Mill is an early 19th-century structure with 20th-century alterations. It is built of rubble stone with quoins and has a rendered west elevation. The roof is covered with plain tiles and features moulded stone copings on the gables. The building consists of a single bay and is a single storey plus attics, although only the attics are visible from the western street elevation due to a significant drop in land level. The west elevation includes a central doorcase with a segmental head and a plank door. The east elevation has a full-width opening with a timber lintel, supported in the center by a timber post, with a blank wall above. This outbuilding is one of a pair of matching structures flanking the Old Mill and is included in the listing for its group value.
