Old Mill Cottage and its outbuildings, located at 7 Old Mill Lane in Nether Liberton, Edinburgh, date back to the 18th century. This single-storey building has a basement and features a symmetrical three-bay rectangular plan, with single-storey outbuildings extending from the left side at the rear. The structure is built of rubble, accented with polished ashlar cills and lintels, and includes long and short quoins along with window surrounds.

On the southeast (entrance) elevation, there is a panelled timber entrance door with a plate glass fanlight positioned centrally at the ground level. Flanking this entrance are bipartite windows that feature stone mullions.

The building is topped with a grey slate piended roof that includes four skylights, and it has coped wallhead stacks with terracotta cans. The windows are 2-pane timber sash and case. The outbuilding to the right at the rear has a pantiled roof, coped skews, and cast-iron rainwater goods.
