Description
Cider Mill Cottage and the adjoining outbuilding are a 17th-century house located on the south side of Barton Road in Butleigh. The building is constructed from coursed and squared lias rubble and features a slate roof with two rubble ridge stacks that have moulded stone caps. The cottage has a symmetrical front with a single storey and attic, comprising two bays. It includes two and three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows, with the ground floor windows having cornice drips, while the first-floor windows are situated in dormer gables that have coping and bases for finials. There is a central door opening with a plank door, and a buttress is positioned to the left of the front. To the left of the cottage is a contiguous barn that has a pantile roof.
