Description
Mill Cottage and Millstream Cottage is a house that has been divided into two dwellings. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The exterior is roughcast with a pantile roof featuring coped verges and brick stacks, one of which is truncated. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical layout with two bays on each side. The windows are primarily 2 and 3-light casements, except for an ovolo-moulded wooden mullioned window on the left side of the ground floor. There are some reproduction stopped labels on the ground floor as well.
The entrance features a four-centred arch door opening set between the bays, with a chamfered dressed stone surround and a 20th-century door. To the right of this entrance, there is another inserted door opening with a 20th-century panelled and glazed door. Inside, there is a fireplace with an elaborate dressed stone surround, which is likely reused, along with some reused 17th-century panelling.
