Description
The Rectory is an early 19th-century rectory built in a severe neo-classical style. It is constructed of stucco, which is colourwashed, and features ashlar corner pilasters. A plain stone band runs along the first floor level, and the building has a hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The symmetrical facades include a garden frontage that is two storeys high and has three bays, with 9 and 12-pane sash windows. The central window on the ground floor is blank. The entrance frontage matches the style of the rest of the building and features a central door opening with a six-panelled door. This is topped by a stone portico that has a fluted entablature, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course supported by twin Tuscan columns and pilasters on the wall. Above the entrance, there is a small square light with marginal glazing bars.
