Description

Mill Cottage and Mill House is a former miller's house dating from the mid-17th century. The building is timber framed and plastered, featuring a peg tile roof with half hips and gablets at each end. It has an off-centre ridge line stack and a small stack towards the west end. The front elevation includes four double hung sash windows above three similar windows, along with two front doors, each adorned with early 19th century flat hoods and six-panel doors. The eastern door is positioned in the original baffle entry location. At the rear, there is a two-storey gabled extension with a peg tile roof, as well as a 20th-century addition at the west end. The posts are jowled, with cross wall bracing and much reused timber.
