Description

A pair of cottages, originally a single small house, dating from the 16th century. The cottages are timber-framed and rendered with a thatched roof, which is half-hipped at each end. They are of one storey with attics, featuring gabled thatched dormers on the north side of the roof. There are two ridge stacks and one stack projecting through the east hip. The windows are 19th-century small-paned casements. There is an open, gabled porch with peg tiles and trellis sides to number 4, featuring an open front and a hipped roof at the west end. Originally, the building contained an open hall.
