House About 70 Metres North Of Royal Oak Inn, And Coach House To East

This is a detached cottage located about 70 meters north of the Royal Oak Inn, possibly dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from Ham stone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys with attics and consists of four bays. The windows are hollow-chamfered mullioned types set in chamfered recesses with labels, all being three-light. In the lower bay 2, there is a pair of 20th-century doors beneath a flat stone hood supported by brackets.

Attached to the east gable is a single-bay link wing, which is partly timber clad, leading to a four-bay stable block that matches the cottage. This stable block has horizontal-bar casement windows, with a segmental-arched opening with double doors in the lower bays 2 and 3, and a plain doorway in lower bay 4. The west gable features mullioned windows on both the ground floor and attic. There is also a lean-to on the north side of the building. The interior has not been seen.
