SOUTH PETHERTON CP ST41NW WIGBOROUGH 2/193 Former coach house and stable about 20 metres south cf Wigborough Manor House

GV II

Coach house and stable, now used as garden store. C18 probably Ham stone cut and squared; double Roman clay tiled roof between stepped coped gables, to shallow pitch. Single-storey, 3 bays. Plain doorways to each bay on east side, tall and double to bay 3; on west side an early pattern 2-light casement window with shutters, and two doorways, 2 quatrefoil panels set over southernmost door. Ceiling plastered and roof frame not visible. Building has group value with Wigborough Manor House (q.v.) and is part of an important farm complex.
