Description
This is a section of the east boundary wall to Penn Hill House, located 40 metres east of the house. The wall is approximately 42 metres long and starts at the northeast corner of the site. It is constructed from ashlar Ham stone, laid in a herringbone pattern, and features a battlemented coping. The wall includes a gateway flanked by curved and coped sweep walls on either side. At each end of the sweep walls, there are four square panelled stone piers topped with pedimented caps. This wall is an important feature, contributing to the setting of Penn Hill House and enhancing the street scene in Penn Hill.
