8/87 Section of East boundary wall to Penn Hill House, with gate piers, 40 metres East of House

Wall. A section of boundary wall approximately 42 metres long, commencing at the North East corner of the site. Ashlared Ham stone laid herringbone fashion with a battlemented coping incorporating a gateway with curved and coped sweep walls to either side, with 4-square panelled store piers with pedimented caps, one at each end of each sweep. An important element, not only in the setting of Penn House, but in the street scene in Penn Hill.
