Description

This is a villa dating from around 1840. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, with a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate and wide soffites. The two-storey front facade has three bays, with a central projecting porch featuring square, non-classical columns and pilasters supporting a conventional entablature, all in colourwashed stone. The sides of the porch are filled in with a six-panel entrance door, the upper three panels glazed, and a single window. The ground floor has plain sash windows without glazing bars, while the first floor has three twelve-pane sash windows with margins, all set in plain openings. A plain stone plinth is present, and the rendered chimney stacks have moulded caps. Later, in the early 20th century, extensions were added to the south and rear, including an angled bay window with a balcony. A wing wall sweeps out on the north side of the house. The interior remains unseen.
