GV II

2 outhouses, probably former coachhouse and store to No.22 (qv). C18. Rubblestone and brick with corrugated-iron roof. Both have rectangular plans. The building to the front is simple, gabled to the front and is now a garage; it is attached to the left of the building to the rear which is 2 storeys with timber lintels to a wide opening ground floor right and a central loading bay to the first floor centre. A C19 tall single-light window has been inserted to the left. The apex of the gable is C19 brick. INTERIOR has C18 joists and wide elm planks to the floor. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: A rubblestone retaining wall to the right has traces of a former window. The site is fronted by a painted rubblestone wall with rounded stone capping approx 1m high and 20m long. No.22 was formerly a shop, the outbuildings may have been ancillary to it. Included for group value.
