Description

Thimble Thatch and Willow Cottage are two cottages located on Vicarage Road in Minehead, dating from the 17th century. They feature painted render over cob or rubblestone and have a continuous thatched roof that is half-hipped to the left. Each cottage has lateral stacks, with No.19 on the left being L-shaped and lacking windows facing the street, while No.21 has a one-unit plan. Both cottages are single-storey with an attic and have a two-window range.

No.19 has a 20th-century door and a small leaded slit window, likely a fire window, positioned to the left of a rubblestone external stack that has a tall shaft offset below and above the eaves. It is noted that this cottage may have been reconstructed during restoration. No.21 features a 19th-century two-light casement window at eaves level above a 20th-century lean-to porch with a single slate roof and door. To the left of No.21 is a single-light window, and the lateral stack on the right is internal. The interior was not inspected.

Additionally, there is a low rubblestone wall attached to the rubblestone stack, which connects to No.23 and curves around to the left, fronting the gardens.
