Description

This is a 19th-century barn located about 4 metres north of Bower Hinton Farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed rubble made of Ham stone and features a double Roman clay tile roof with plain gables, topped with a weathervane at the east end. The barn has two storeys and consists of 8 bays. There are doors at both levels, with boarded pairs reaching full wall height in bays 1 and 5, and segmental arched boarded doors in the lower sections of bays 3 and 8. The remaining openings are fitted with cast-iron small pane windows, which have segmental arched brick overthrows. A lean-to structure is attached to the east gable. The interior has not been seen.
