Description

Rose Cottage is an early 19th-century house situated in a row. It is constructed of roughly cut and squared ham stone with a double Roman clay tile roof, featuring a coped gable on its eastern side and an abutment on the west. The roof is punctuated by a brick chimney stack. The cottage has two storeys and three bays. It contains sash windows with 16 panes, set flush under timber lintels. The first bay has a small-pane casement window below and a blank space above. A doorway has been blocked between the first and second bays. A pair of three-panelled doors is located between the second and third bays, set within a heavy frame and covered by a timber lintol. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
