Description

Bankside is a semi-detached cottage dating to the 17th century, with later alterations. The exterior is faced with ham stone, cut and squared, and has a double Roman clay tile roof. The roofline has an undulating, stepped cope to the south gable, and a continuation to the north. Brick chimney stacks are present. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. Ground floor windows are mullioned with three lights, featuring square labels above. Above these are small, three-light horizontal-bar casement windows set within felted, segmental-roofed dormers. A part-glazed door is set within a plain opening, leading to a conservatory-style porch accessed by eight steps. Casement windows are also present in the south gable. The interior was not inspected.
