Description

Goose Hill House is a detached house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations likely made in the late 19th century. The front facade is built of Ham stone ashlar, while the sides are of coursed rubble. The roof is covered with concrete double Roman tiles and features stepped coped gables with stone chimney stacks at the ends and between the bays. The house is two storeys high and originally comprised five bays, though bays 1 and 2 appear to be from a slightly later build. A plinth and band course run along bays 3 to 5. The windows are 16-pane sash windows in plain surrounds. Margined French windows with matching fanlights are located on the ground floor of bays 2 and 5, and in bay 4 there is a part-glazed recessed door within a plain beaded and keystoned surround. On the north gable, at ground floor level, there are two semi-circular arched sash windows set in architraves. The interior of the house was not inspected during the listing process.
