Description

This building is a barn located in the farmyard at Weston Court Farm, adjacent to the west of the farmhouse. It dates back to the 15th century, with some alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is made of roughly coursed and squared rubble and features four slender two-stage buttresses with offsets on the west side. It has a double-Roman tile roof.

The east and west sides of the barn have irregular window openings on the ground floor and at eaves level, most of which are blocked. On the east side, there are two doorways, one with a plank door, and a broad opening between two buttresses that has a 20th-century corrugated metal door.

Inside, the principal feature of interest is the jointed cruck truss, while the rest of the roof dates from the 19th century. There are also sawn-off ends of three large square ceiling beams, indicating the presence of a former floor. Against the north gable, there is a stone stack with a fireplace that has a chamfered and stopped wooden bressumer.
