Description

The Sedgemoor Inn is a medieval inn that has undergone significant alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a smooth-rendered exterior and a shallow-pitched pantiled roof with brick stacks. The building is an open-hall house with a timber-framed smoke hood, which has been later floored. It stands two storeys high and consists of three bays, with three-light casement windows, some of which have glazing bars. There are two door openings with plank doors, and a sloping buttress is located at the center of the frontage. Inside, there is a smoke hood on the right gable wall, which is a very rare feature for this part of the county, and the roof is constructed using jointed cruck.
