Description

Border Farmhouse is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of local stone rubble with a Welsh slate roof, stone ridge, and stepped coped gables. Brick chimney stacks are at each end. The farmhouse is two storeys high and three bays wide. It features 2-light casement windows with single horizontal glazing bars, set under exposed timber lintels and with gauged shoulder segmental brick arches below. The central entrance has a 6-panel door, now protected by a 20th-century porch with a brick base, timber and glazing, and a Welsh slate roof. A brick lean-to is attached to the north gable. The interior has not been inspected.
