Description

Brewham House is an 18th-century house located in the parish of Brewham, originally listed under the name Hammer Street. The house is constructed of local stone, squared and cut, with dressings of Bath stone. It has a hipped roof covered in Welsh slate, and brick chimney stacks at the rear. The building is arranged around an "L" shape, with two storeys and three bays. Features include a plinth, rusticated quoins, an eaves cornice concealing a gutter, and 12-pane sash windows set within architraved surrounds. The central entrance has a six-panel door topped by an open pediment supported by Doric pilasters, and a semi-circular fanlight above. Extensions were likely added to the rear in the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
