Description
Meadowside House is a cottage built in the first half of the 19th century. It is constructed from local stone rubble with Doulting stone dressings and features double Roman clay tile roofs between stepped coped gables, along with brick end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with a two-bay addition on the right side.
The cottage has sash windows with side margins, set in plain ashlar surrounds that include keystones and a segmental chamfer to the otherwise flat arch. There is a projecting porch at the second bay, which is rendered and topped with a double Roman tile roof, and it includes side windows and a plain door. On the south side, there is a simpler extension that has a central plain door flanked by casement windows featuring a single glazing bar, all with segmental arched heads. Matching windows are located above under the eaves with flat heads. There is also a further single-storey extension to the north, which has a plain clay tile roof and plain doors. The interior has not been seen.
