Description
Church Farmhouse is likely from the early 18th century. It is a farmhouse with an L-shaped plan, augmented by a later parallel range to the right. The farmhouse is built of rubble and has a Welsh slate roof. It features gable stacks, including one on the rear wing. The two-storey main block has three windows, offset towards the right of the facade. The windows are 3-light casements with wooden lintols, with a 2-light window over the porch and two small dormers in the roof. A central door, a 6-panel fielded door, is set within a 19th-century projecting porch. A small stair light is set within the gable on the left side of the farmhouse.
Inside, the ground floor of the right-hand section of the farmhouse has large stone fire cheeks under a new bressumer. The left-hand side of the ground floor features a deep chimney breast, with a 20th-century fire surround. Heavy, deeply chamfered beams are a prominent feature throughout.
