Description
11 and 12 Whittox Lane are two cottages that were remodeled in the mid-19th century, originally built in the late 17th or early 18th century. They are two stories tall with an attic, constructed from rubble with block dressings and feature a grid pantile roof with blocks at the eaves level. Each cottage has two raking top dormers and two windows; No 11 has glazing bars, while No 12 has cross-glazed sashes. Both cottages have central doors, with No 11 featuring a projecting modern gabled porch. No 12 includes a small two-story lean-to extension from the mid-19th century, which has some timber-framing. Additionally, No 11 has a cottage extension at the rear that has a parallel ridge to the main house and a three-light mullioned window with a dripmould.
