Description
This lamp post, located at the corner of Sun Lane and Whittox Lane, was created between 1901 and 1904 by the local art-metal firm of Singers. It features a cast-iron standard with a crook designed to suspend lamps, which is adorned with art-nouveau style ornamentation. This lamp post has been adapted for town lighting, making it an early provincial example of electrification.
