Description
This is a late 18th or early 19th century cottage, likely originally two dwellings. It is constructed of roughly squared and coursed local lias stone, with a clay pantile roof behind the abutments. The roofline shows evidence of a rear extension. The front elevation has irregular window placement. The upper floor features a 16-pane sash window, while the lower floor of the second bay has a 20-pane sash window and the lower floor of the first bay has a 16-pane sash. Timber lintols are present above the lower windows. A 20-pane sash window is visible on the lower floor of the first bay. A part-glazed door, with a plain rectangular fanlight above, is situated between the bays. Some straight joints are visible in the stonework of the front elevation. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
