Description

Church Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 19th century. It is constructed of local lias stone that has been cut and squared, and it features a clay pantiled roof with plain verges and brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of a single bay. It has side margined plain sash windows, with the lower window set under a dovetailed stone lintel. To the left, there is a 20th-century part-glazed door beneath a timber lintel, and to the right, there are traces of a blocked doorway. In the centre of the roof, there is a raked roof dormer window. The interior has not been seen. Church Cottage is part of a varied row of buildings that contribute positively to the streetscape.
