Description

This building is a shop with a house located at No 4 West Street in Somerton. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared. The roof is made of plain clay tiles and features coped gables, along with a brick chimney stack at one end. The building is two storeys high and has one bay. Above, there is a double 12-pane sash window, while the ground floor has a simple 20th-century shopfront. This shopfront includes plain display windows set in a slight recess, with a glazed door in a further angled recess, all beneath a plain thin fascia. The interior has not been seen.
