Range Of Workshop Buildings About 15 Metres South East Of Main Block Of The Former Parrett Iron Works

This is a range of workshop buildings located about 15 metres southeast of the main block of the former Parrett Iron Works, dating from the 19th century. The buildings are constructed from coursed rubble made of Ham stone, with some brick detailing, and feature Welsh slate roofs that have coped gables. The structure has a triple roof plan and is a single storey. It includes small-pane cast-iron windows with segmental arched heads, some rooflights, and several tall doors on the northwest wall, along with circular vents at the gable crown. Although the interiors are not accessible, they are likely built with the same cast-iron frame construction as the workshop range attached to the northeast of the main block. This range is part of the Parrett Iron Works complex, which was established around 1855 on the site of earlier mills.
