Description

Church Farm and Church View House are a farmhouse dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with alterations made in the 18th century and later. The building is constructed of rubble with slate roofs, coped verges, and stone stacks with caps, as well as a brick stack. It has an L-shaped layout. The two-storey farmhouse features a three-bay front with two- and four-light stone-mullioned windows, each with drips. A central keyed door opening is set in a stone surround and features a panelled door. Further stone-mullioned windows are visible on other elevations. The interior retains exposed ceiling beams. The property is of group value, reflecting its contribution to the surrounding built environment. Historical records and illustrations from 1829 are associated with the building.
