Description
Highchurch Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, with some alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of rubble with a concrete tile roof, featuring ashlar stacks and coped verges. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a layout of one bay on the left under a front-facing gable and three additional bays. The windows are 2 and 3-light moulded stone-mullioned types, with stopped labels, and the ground floor openings have relieving arches. The door opening has a moulded 4-centred head in a square-headed stone frame, with emphasized spandrels and a label, leading to a 19th-century ribbed and studded door. Inside, there is a 19th-century staircase and a barrel ceiling on the first floor.
