Description
Green Farm House is a farmhouse dated 1861, likely indicating a renovation, although its fabric and features suggest it has late 18th century origins. The building is smooth rendered with prominent quoins, a moulded stone eaves cornice, and an ashlar parapet with coping. It has coped verges and a slate roof, with end ashlar stacks and three box dormers featuring 16-pane sash windows. The house is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays, each with 16-pane sash windows set in bead-moulded freestone surrounds. The central door opening has a stone architrave and a six-panelled door, topped by a hollow semi-circular stone hood supported on brackets. The forecourt is walled and ramps down to create a plinth for ornamental wrought-iron railings.
