Description
Kings Hayes is a house that likely has a core dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features an ashlar frontage, with rubble on the returns, and has roofs made of slate, concrete, and double-Roman tiles, all with coped verges and stone stacks. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are late 19th-century mullioned and transomed casements with glazing bars, and there is a canted bay window in a matching style with a cornice on the right side of the ground floor. A door opening is located on the right return, featuring a stone doorcase with a flat entablature supported by plain pilasters and a panelled door. Inside, there is a notable 18th-century staircase and early 19th-century fluted door frames.
