Description

Chandlers House is a house dating from the early 19th century, situated on the south side of Kale Street in Batcombe. The house is rendered with a slate roof and brick stacks. It has a symmetrical frontage with three bays, displaying sash windows with glazing bars. A central door opening contains a six-panelled door and transom light. Inside, a contemporary fireplace and cupboard are present in the right-hand ground floor room. The basement originally housed the village bakery's ovens.
