Description

Cobblers is an 18th-century cottage, part of a row, located on the north side of Kale Street in Batcombe. The cottage is constructed with incised whitewashed render and has a tile roof with coped verges and brick stacks. It is a symmetrical two-storey, two-bay building. The front has three-light wooden-mullioned windows with leaded casements set in iron frames. A central door opening is accessed by a horizontally divided plank door. The rear elevation features a large casement window with glazing bars, which lit a room that was likely formerly used by the village tailor.
