Description

This is a pump located on the roadside opposite Chandlers House and to the west of The Cottage in Batcombe. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The pump features a fluted circular column topped with a domed fluted cap that houses the mechanism. It has a short curving spout at the front and a handle mounted on a bracket to the side, which has a decorative scroll at the end. This pump is part of a series of listed pumps in the village.
